Nebraska Native set to Perform at Great American Comedy Festival

The road to success in stand-up is typically paved in a straight direction, either east to New York or west to Los Angeles. But Cameron Logsdon’s road is anything but typical.

“I’ve always wanted to do comedy,” the Omaha native said. “I’ve always wanted to be around the entertainment industry and tell stories.”

But Logsdon said having his son while still in high school changed his career trajectory a bit.

“I grew up without a dad and I said, ‘That’s not going to be my kid,’ ” Logsdon said. “I’ve been really committed to raising my son, and I’ve raised him here (in Omaha). Because of that, I’ve looked at this whole career a lot differently.”
